Larry Sanders quitted the NBA world at 26

“I’m Larry Sanders. I’m a person. I’m a father. I’m an artist. I’m a writer. I’m a painter. I’m a musician. And sometimes I play basketball.”

An unique Players Tribute video.

Playing the game of basketball professionally may be perceived as wine and roses. There are downsides most of us cannot realize. Maybe NBA players do not want to devote almost 100% of their time into Basketball.

Larry Sanders made a statement leaving the Milwaukee Bucks and the NBA.

“We are more than one thing.”

“You become an ATM to some people.”

Sanders played in the NBA for 6 seasons.

In the 2012-2013 season Larry had the best Block percentage in the league, was the 4th in Defensive Box Plus/Minus and 6th in Defensive Ranking.

Larry Sanders was the 15th pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2010 NBA Draft.

This is not an easy step to make. Nonetheless, it was the right one for him.

A respectful decision which is not consensus nor completely comprehensive for everyone.

However, the communication was correct and the facts as well. Hopefully the youngster will see the other side of the NBA “coin”. Are you prepared and informed of the steps needed? At least Sanders made a transparent statement about it.

Lastly, we display the video which includes all the Sanders’ statement.:
