The Golden Ball is coming!

The 63rd Ballon d’Or® will be known on Monday, December 3rd. During the same ceremony, broadcasted live on la Chaine L’Équipe, L’Équipe’s website, francefootball.fr and in more than 120 countries, two new trophies, created by France Football, will be awarded :

The Women’s Ballon d’Or® and the Kopa Trophy. The Women’s Ballon d’Or® will reward the best player in the world, elected by a jury of journalists specialized in women’s football.

The Kopa Trophy will be given to the best under-21 player, who will be chosen by the 33 living winners of the Ballon d’Or®, among whom are Denis Law, Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Marco Van Basten, Zinédine Zidane, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo…

The nominees for these three awards will be revealed on Monday, October 8th between 9:00 a.m. and 7:15 p.m., simultaneously on the TV channel, the websites, and the social networks of France Football and L’Équipe. The entire list of nominees and an exclusive interview with one of them, will be featured in France Football on Tuesday, October 9th. In the committee that votes for Greece, Manos Staramopoulos represents 30 years ago

The Ballon d’Or® France Football Created in 1956 by France Football’s editorial team, the Ballon d’Or® is part of football’s heritage and shines trough the world. Won by Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane, Marco Van Basten, Michel Platini, Johan Cruyff and many other great names, it is the world’s most prestigious individual trophy France Football and L’Équipe revealed today the nominees for the 63rd Ballon d’Or®, the Women’s Ballon d’Or® and the Trophée Kopa®, which will reward the best male and female player in the world and the best player under 21 years old.

 These three awards will be given on December 3rd , during a ceremony, broadcast live from 8:45 p.m. on the channel and the website L’Équipe, on francefootball.fr and in more than 120 countries.
